What You Need to Know About Renewable Diesel

Join Us for a Complimentary Webinar!

June 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM PDT

Register Now

East Bay Clean Cities stakeholder CALSTART will be hosting a public webinar in June titled What You Need to Know About Renewable Diesel. Renewable Diesel (RD) is increasingly capturing the attention of fleet managers around the country as a fuel option that does not require conversion of vehicles or special fuel distribution or fueling infrastructure. It is chemically similar to petroleum diesel, but is 100% renewable and sustainable. RD also meets the diesel ASTM D975 specification so it will not void vehicle warranties. Renewable diesel is a high cetane product with low greenhouse gas and nitrogen oxides emissions and is ultra-low sulfur.

This webinar will examine this alternative fuel from the perspective of a RD provider, Golden Gate Petroleum, and from the experiences of the City of Oakland, a fleet that has been using RD since last fall. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about this fuel option and how to integrate it into their vehicles.

Speakers: Kimberly Taylor, Director of Member Services, CALSTART [Moderator]

Pat O’Keefe, Vice President, Golden Gate Petroleum

Richard Battersby, Fleet Manager, City of Oakland
